Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)

RSHE Curriculum

At Northfield School, we take a considered approach to relationships and sex and health education (RSHE). In our delivery of RSHE, we aim to provide a framework in which sensitive discussions can take place, prepare our pupils for puberty and give them an understanding of sexual development. Our curriculum promotes the importance of health and hygiene and helps pupils develop feelings of self-respect, confidence and empathy.

In addition, RSHE at Northfield is designed to create a positive culture around the issues of sexuality and relationships including educating students on the topic of peer-on-peer sexual harassment and abuse, being proactive in promoting a zero-tolerance culture, providing advice on how to report instances and access support.
