Kendra represented England Netball from 1980-1995, achieving 128 caps. She has a BEd in PE and Geography and a Hons MA for Services to Sport. In 2001, Kendra was inducted into the netball Hall of Fame.
Mary started competing in cycling at a national level at 7 years old but for a year had to race against boys because there were no girls her age who raced. Mary placed top 3 for the first time in the national series at 11 years old.
