This June at Northfield, we’ve been proud to celebrate Pride Month together as a school community. From flying the Progress Pride Flag to a virtual assembly, a “Read with Pride” display in the Library, and a GSA Pride Party, we’ve taken time to reflect, learn and celebrate 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Today marked our annual Pride Day, with pupils and staff showing their support by wearing a rainbow-coloured accessory and enjoying some delicious rainbow cakes at lunchtime 🌈🎂 At Northfield, Pride is about respect, visibility, acceptance, allyship, belonging and human rights – principles we are proud to uphold in our school community. 🏏 U15 Girls Cricket 🌟 A huge well done to our Under 15 Girls Cricket Team, who competed in the County Finals yesterday at Swalwell Cricket Club! 👏🏏 Although the girls didn't come away with the win, they played brilliantly throughout the competition and showed fantastic determination despite the weather conditions. ☀💪 To top it all off, they even got to cool down with some delicious ice-cold flavoured milk! 🥛😄 Well done, girls — you represented Northfield brilliantly.
