Support for Our Families

Our Family Support Worker, Mrs Carroll,  works alongside the designated safeguarding leads, guidance teams and attendance team to monitor the safety and wellbeing of pupils within our school. Mrs Carroll can help families navigate challenges and build stable, healthy home environments, providing both practical help and emotional support.

Mrs Carroll supports families in crisis and contributes to early intervention strategies, working closely with parents and carers, pupils, and sometimes extended family members.

Mrs Carroll can help families access external agencies such as foodbanks, community resources and help and advise parents and carers who are in financial difficulty. Mrs Carroll can assist with applications such as applying for child benefit / DLA and many other things. To get in touch, please see details below:

The Teesside Family Foundation

The Teesside Charity – We are a registered charity run by voluntary Teesside trustees who help, support and provide assistance to Teesside families and individuals who simply do not have the means, are underprivileged or have fallen on hard times due to ill health. Support can include help with Food / Fuel Vouchers, short breaks / Specialist equipment

THE GREGGS FOUNDATION

Greggs Trust - The Relief Grant helps individuals and families through periods of unexpected difficulty, providing help to ease financial strain and restore hope when it’s needed most. Applications are made via approved referral partners and schools within our Feeding Brighter Futures network on behalf of eligible individuals.

The support available includes food, clothing vouchers and beds as well as essential home appliances including cookers, fridge freezers and washing machines. All appliances are brand new and delivered direct and can make a significant difference to people’s lives.

ZARACH – A BED FOR EVERY CHILD

Zarach - Beds have become a luxury item for hundreds of thousands of families, who face the devastating decision to pay for food and fuel, or to buy their child a bed.*

Bed poverty exists when a family doesn’t have the sleeping arrangements they need for their children due to a lack of financial resources.* For children in this situation, it has a significant impact on their education.

Zarach’s mission is to end child bed poverty, helping children get a good night’s sleep and the chance to thrive at school.

BILLINGHAM AND STOCKTON FOODBANK

Foodbank - We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Pantry in the Park – Is open every Monday 9am – 10,30am. The Pantry in the Park offers ten non-perishable items, including toiletries for £2.00.   We also give away fresh fruit and vegetables, bread etc for free.
