We were delighted to welcome hundreds of local families into our school last night for our annual Year 6 open evening.

Year 6 pupil and their parents were greeted by our wonderful Northfield pupils, who handed out goodie bags and proudly showed our guests around the school. They headed to each department to see what was on offer and took part in exciting activities including; math pong, Van der Graaf, a ninja warrior course, and even a witches' lair!

The special visitors commented on the delicious pizzas made by our pupils in food technology and were wowed in the science department, with the static electricity experiments proving to be one of the highlights.

Parents had the opportunity to listen to presentations with Headteacher, Mr Henderson, who spoke about Northfield's core values, the high aspirations teachers have for their pupils, and discussed what makes Northfield a great place to learn. Miss Renwick, Head of Year 7 School, also spoke about the benefits of Northfield's separate Year 7 building, which acts as a stepping stone to ease the transition from primary school.

All presentations were to full capacity and we received positive feedback from parents giving special mention to how informative they were and how welcoming the school environment is.

If you were unable to attend the open evening, or if you would like to see the school without the busy crowds, you can book a tour with a member of staff - click here for more information.

Applications to join Northfield School in September 2023 are open until Monday 31 October. To apply for a place visit the Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council website here.
